2014 has kicked off with an incredible run of international travel and amazing shows. It all began at Woodford Folk Festival in Queensland, Australia where the band and I played some cracking shows in the blistering heat before seeing in the new year at one of the worlds best festivals.
I then had a few weeks off before traveling back to LA to drop some gear off, just in time to go to the airport and fly to London. We sold out my first ever London show at the Green Note, and then went to Glasgow for Celtic Connections where I played in front of 2000 people supporting Mary Chapin Carpenter. Celtic Connections brings in amazing bands from all over the world, and I got to spend a few days with new friends The Stray Birds, and even got up for a song at their house concert in Edinburgh. After a few days in New York, I arrived in Halifax to begin another tour with Old Man Luedecke, this time in the heart of the Canadian winter after our very warm summer tour of Australia in October/November. We play 25 dates around the country, and in between I jump to Folk Alliance International for a wild ride of 14 shows in 3 days with lots of friends, including The Stray Birds and Liz Stringer from back in Melbourne.
